The fishing has been great one day and not so hot the next. We been seeing some 26"-30" walleye coming in lately. The best depth for walleye has been 12'-18'. The northern action has picked up the last couple of weeks in 10'-12' of water. Some of those really big blue gills have been coming in off the dock after dark.

We have 10 inches of ice on Andrusia and most area lakes, started seeing light vehicles travel on them as well. The fishing has been going quite well with nice northern, walleye, and perch being caught from 15 to 20 feet of water. I put our 8 by 12 foot angling house out yesterday and caught plenty of perch and 4 walleyes. Hopefully when our kids are on Christmas break we will find some time to take them out fishing. Happy holidays and good fishing to everyone.

  • We are finally getting some ice to start our fishing season off. There is about 3-4" out there right now. The forecast is looking pretty good for growing ice with wind chills around -20 to -30, the low today with the wind chill was -47, I guess when the weather wants to get cold there is no fooling around. I'm getting the two ice fish houses and the spearing house out by the middle of next week. I can't wait to start pulling those walleyes and perch through the ice and throwing them in the fryer.
